First Green Minority-Owned Executive Search Firm Established Through Joint Venture
Responding to the challenge put forth by President Obama to deliver a green economy, Safflyn Corporation and Minority Executive Search, Inc., have agreed to formalize a joint venture to create a new program for green jobs training and placement. The training program will be part of the Green Leadership Institute, a nonprofit organization located in Jordanville, N.Y., and founded by Safflyn Corporation to respond to the challenge for more accountable leadership and environmental responsibility.
Specifically established for the Green Leadership Institute, the program will identify and train talent for entry- to executive-level green positions, providing training resources, skills development and job placement assistance.
Minority Executive Search will be responsible for helping corporations find and recruit executive talent with a green background, train existing professionals and offer professionals in transition a valuable resource for obtaining future placement.
"Green Leadership is the only route we have to keep our economy going in the right direction. This convergence of experience and resources to create a valid talent pool, which can answer more acutely the challenges faced by companies in a time of climate change, is a juggernaut solution for President Obama and the American economy," said Jason Safford, CEO of Safflyn Corporation.
Eral Burks, president of the 25-year-old Minority Executive Search, spoke enthusiastically about the new venture, "The importance of this agreement is to answer the challenges faced by companies today. The Green Leadership Institute provides a tangible resource that can help businesses become sustainable and more profitable immediately. We are tremendously excited that we are part of piloting such an important mission that assists the message of our President and may offer great results for the future of our country."
